Picturesque Bhandardara

Situated at about 180 kilometers from the city centre of Mumbai, this desolate spot has everything that a nature lover could ask for!

Trees, Flowers, Waterfalls, Lakes, Mountains, Canyons, Rapids, Natural Rock Formations and much more...

As soon as you start form Mumbai after a string of Toll-Naka's, we drive along the railway lines and into ghats, (wherein, if you are lucky, may travel through dense mist and fog), through a village, that is quite idealistic (nature, good huts, farm animals, fields, dhows, et all...) [read...enjoying through a ride in a tractor or rowing boats], we can ensure you that the locals pose in a perfect manner for your shutterbugs. It then moves on to a terrain that is sure to delight trekkers and non trekkers alike! If these still do not satisfy you, then further up road, we come face to face with a gigantic dam, with its crystal clear waters lapping the road for us to see. The area is deemed so beautiful, that the locals fondly call them the Whirlpool Gates. Further ahead is one of the tallest waterfalls in India to captivate yourself with, before the long ride back home. Of course you may pass through a er... graveyard, and other interesting places, not to mention an age old temple, a certain fort with historical importance, and much more...
