Coastline Chaul

Beaches, Forts, Trekking Trails, Palm fringed roads, Ancient Architectural Delights and much more...

Situated on the Konkan Coastline, a 4 hour ride away from Mumbai, this heavenly place could be reached through either Catameran services or by Road, the second being a better option as on the way one may look at the many delights that road travel has to offer, in the form of an age old bird sanctury, lakes, rivers winding through, and ghats of course, that run parallel to the Arabian Sea. Further up road, we come across two big huge industries, that would make any Indian proud of. It would sure amaze you at the rate the raw materials come pouring in these factories and the speed at which the finished goods are loaded into trailer trucks to take them to their destination. As we leave these industries behind, we soon come upon palm fringed roads, ancient charming villages - a mixture of the old with the new, the ancient with the modern. Further up ahead are beaches with white sands, blue water on one side, hidden by palm trees, across the road to the mountains of the mighty Sahayadris. One may also visit a fort situated right in the sea, only accessible through the dhows, that has been ferrying passengers for over a hundred years now. The photos that you can take here are sure to be amongst the most treasured ones.
Apart from these one may also enjoy panaromic views by climbing a peak, as well as have a great look of nuclear cooler towers of the RCF factory, and a lot more...
